It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of 21 year old Jose Angel Gomez, on February 26, 2022. He was born October 25, 2000 in Las Cruces to Joe Gomez and Angilene McKinley. Jose was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, friend and man. He graduated from High School Class of 2020. He continued his education at Glitz cosmetology school where he graduated as a gifted barber, proudly carrying on his barber skills passed down from his great grandfather Shorty McKinley. His dream was to own his own barber shop like his great grandpa and be well known for providing his clients with the best service. He was extremely talented and had the most handsome smile and personality to match. A genuinely beautiful human being. Jose enjoyed hiking, working on cars, cutting hair and being with his family, dogs and friends. Jose was known and will be remembered how he touched so many in his extraordinary way of thoughtfulness, kindness, generosity and wonderful sense of humor. He was the heart of his family and will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Those left to mourn him are his devoted mother Angilene McKinley, step dad Israel Garcia, his father Joe Gomez, his loving sister Jazmine Gomez, his lifelong girlfriend Daniella Ballesteros (Ace, Coco), brother in law Jorge Cadena, half-sister Desiree Gomez, half-brother Alejandro Gomez, grandparents Juan and Rosalia Gomez, grandpa Orlando McKinley (Debbie), mother in law Zelda Ballesteros and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Netty Gutierrez and uncle Orlando Mckinley.
