It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, coach and dear friend, JOHNNY CUARON, 61, lifelong resident of Las Cruces. He was born May 12, 1961 to Estella Lucero and Willie Cuaron Sr. Johnny was self -employed and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He loved to go fishing, was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and WWE Wrestling. He coached girls' basketball at Vista Middle School and Doña Ana Elementary for over 30 years. His biggest passion in life was the love that he had for this family.

Those left to mourn his passing include his, son, Johnny Cuaron Jr., two daughters, Nora Cuaron (Ramon), and Valerie Cuaron all of Las Cruces; his loving parents, Willie, and Estella Cuaron; brother, Willie Cuaron Jr., (Debbie) and five sisters, Nancy Lerma (David), Peggy Saenz, Diane Allison (Greg), Penny Cuaron (Ray) and Debra Robles (James) all also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, Farrah, Mia, and Makayla; along with his former wife, Bonnie Rivera. Johnny was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Florencio and Refugia Cuaron and maternal grandmother, Kate Lucero.

The family will gather at 5 PM with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces, NM.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey in Doña Ana with the Reverend Martin Cordero Celebrant. Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.
