It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and a very special friend, DAVID RUIZ RAMIREZ, age 59, lifelong resident of Las Cruces on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born August 28, 1962 to Edward and Manuela Ruiz Ramirez. In 2006, David retired from the United States Army, after serving his country honorably for 20 years.  At the time of his passing David, was employed at the Army Core of Engineers.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Mary Helen Martinez Ramirez of the family home; his only son, David Andrew Ramirez; and two beautiful daughters, Melanie and Brittany Ramirez all of Las Cruces; a brother, Cosme E. "Sonny" Ramirez (Delva) of Huston, TX; two sisters, Helen Holguin (Pete) and Ana Barela all also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Dominic and Joshua Moreno; two great-grandchildren, Emery and Ella Moreno as well as numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Mr. Ramirez will begin at 10 AM Friday, February 25, 2022 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Funeral Service at 11 AM with Military Chaplain Cullen Combs officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road with Military Honors.

Serving as casket bearers will be Eddie Ramirez, Victor Holguin, Xavier Barela, Alex Espinoza Lucas and John Jaques.
