Yvette Moreno, 69 of El Paso, TX passed away on February 1, 2025 in Las Cruces, NM.
Yvette was born in El Paso, TX to Frank "Chito" Flores and Diomira Elia "Lily" Flores. Yvette was the oldest of six children and grew up in the lower valley of El Paso, TX. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1974 and was the head captain of the Riverside Rangerette's. After high school Yvette was married and started a family, having two sons while her husband Abie Moreno began his career in the armed forces. While living the life of a military spouse, Yvette was able to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology from Sacramento State University as well as her Masters Degree in Education from New Mexico State University. Yvette worked for the Las Cruces Public School District for 25 years in bilingual classrooms ranging from first to fourth grade educating and molding the minds of many students. Mrs. Moreno was truly a special teacher that would do anything to help her students succeed as well as assist her fellow educators. In her spare time Yvette loved being with family and friends, listening to music and most of all dancing. Her passion for music and dance lasted throughout her lifetime from Rangerettes, to the Kansas City Chiefs Cheer-leading squad, learning the art of Flamingo, to dancing with all her loved ones at any family event or special occasion. Yvette was an amazing wife, mother, sister, nina, cousin but most importantly she was an unbelievable grandmother. Her smile, her laugh, her energy and love will continue to inspire us all and we will forever be grateful for the time we were able to spend with her.
