It is with great sadness we announce the loss of VIRGINIA PAEZ TELLEZ. Virginia was born September 30, 1942, in Morenci, Arizona, to Bernardo and Ofelia Paez. She passed away November 14, 2023, in Sierra Vista, Arizona as a result of complications associated with Liver Cancer. Virginia won many friends with her ready smile, her compassionate nature, empathetic heart, and sense of humor. After graduation from Morenci High School, she moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, and married Ramiro on May 31, 1962. They began a family soon after and had three children: Robert, Edward, and Deborah. While serving as a mother, she also managed to study Cosmetology and Tax Preparation. She excelled due to her dynamic personality. She worked in both fields for many years and was loved by her clients.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Bernardo and Ofelia Paez), her son Robert Tellez, two sisters (Bertha Bernal and Natalia Valdez, and one brother Bernie Paez). Virginia is survived by her husband Ramiro Tellez, son Edward Tellez and wife, Maria, daughter Deborah Romero and husband, Philip, granddaughter Reina Romero and boyfriend, Joshua Sanchez, three sisters (Maggie Garcia, Estella Ulibarri, and Rachel Paez), and three brothers (Rudy Paez, Art Paez, and Gilbert Paez). She is deeply mourned by us, her large extended family, and a wide circle of dear friends, inclusive of the Tellez and Paez Family.
She and her husband traveled through Europe, visiting her daughter and granddaughter in Germany from 2010-2017, establishing wonderful and unforgettable memories. She was blessed to have had the experience of numerous different cultures and fantastic food. She was a lover of arts and painted frequently. Additionally, she was an avid reader, a phenomenal cook, and the best mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend anyone could ask for. Her happiest moments were spent with her family on holidays, at family reunions, listening to music, playing cards, being with friends, and dancing. She touched many, many lives and is deeply missed.
