Virginia Salcido Maese (Kina) passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. She was born on May 21, 1929, to Pablo Salcido and Candelaria Lyles Salcido.

Virginia was proud to be a lifelong Mesillera and cherished the many friendships she formed throughout her life. She was a fun-loving woman who especially enjoyed going dancing with her beloved husband of 77 years, Edward L. Maese.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward; her three children, Sylvia J. Fierro (David), Oscar Paul Maese (Consuelo), and JoAnna Maese; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and treasured deeply. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Velia Chavez.

Virginia was preceded in death by her son, John E. Maese; her parents; her three sisters, Esther Ortiz, Ella Maya, and Luisa Salcido; and her brother, Pablo Salcido Jr.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words of comfort and acts of kindness during this time.

Virginia was a very private and God-loving lady. In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place, and interment will follow at a later date.
