Victor Arguello, 50, of Brazito, New Mexico, was called home by his heavenly father on July 31, 2026—leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, faith, and family.

Victor, affectionately known as "Animal", was born December 25, 1975, to Victor V. and Irene Arguello. He was the owner and operator of Big Boy Trucking out of Brazito, New Mexico.He valued family over everything-and made sure to live life to the fullest at every possible moment with them. He treasured friendship and many friends became an extended family to him. He had a love for lifted trucks, lowriders, and motorcycles, but his true passion was for the road. There was something about being behind the wheel, listening to old country and doing some backroad trucking that brought him so much joy. This passion was passed down to him from his father—one he proudly carried on by passing down to his son and sharing with his brother.

Victor was the beloved husband of Shelly Arguello; proud father to his sons, Jeremy Lucero (Danielle) and Victor "Big Boy" Arguello; daughters, Analiese Garcia and Alyssa Lucero; and adored Papa Dado to his grandchildren Eli, Leilani, Zakai, Anastasia, and Rayla Lucero.He was the cherished brother of Robert Valenzuela, Rebecca Marquez (Albert), Mary Esther May (Larry), and Elisabeth Quinones (Jim). He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who were blessed to have known and loved him.

Victor was preceded in death by his father, Victor V. Arguello; mother, Irene Arguello; sister, Patricia Valenzuela; paternal grandparents, Cipriano and Reynalda Arguello; maternal grandparents, Estanislao Norris and Aurora Narro.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 12, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at Real Life Church,1040 El Paseo Rd, Las Cruces, NM. With a reception to immediately follow at the Elks Lodge, 3000 Elks Drive, Las Cruces, NM.
