TOMAS GUZMAN REYNA, age 73, entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Ambrosio Guillen Veterans State Home in El Paso, Texas, following a long illness. He was born on August 5, 1952, in Las Cruces to Bertha Guzman and Jose Reyna. A proud veteran, Tomas retired from the United States Army, where he served his country with honor and dedication. After his military career, he continued his commitment to service and excellence through his work with NASA. Tomas was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church, grounding his life in faith, family, and gratitude.

In 1997, Tomas married his loving wife, Mary Triste Reyna, and together they shared a beautiful, loving life filled with devotion, laughter, and cherished memories.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving family; wife Mary; son Tomas Reyna, II of Las Cruces: daughters, Martha Farber (Mike) of Arizona, Renee Thomas (Josh), and Bertha Gonzalez (Frank), all of Las Cruces; brother, Arturo Reyna of Las Cruces; sisters, Estella Weisner (Trent) of Arizona and Linda Reyna of Las Cruces; four beloved grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Tomas was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Tammy Reyna and Lydia Glover; three sisters, Dolores Monsivaiz, Esther Madrid, and Barbara Reyna; and three brothers, Frank, Albert, and Richard Reyna.

Visitation for Mr. Reyna will begin at 10 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 11 AM, with the Liturgy of the Word immediately thereafter.

At his request, cremation will take place, and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date. Military honors will be accorded by the New Mexico Army National Guard Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League – El Perro Diablo Detachment, in recognition of his faithful service to our nation.
