TERESA P. OLIVAREZ, age 92, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Las Cruces, NM. She was born October 15, 1932, and lived in La Mesa, NM., for most of her life.  She was married to Patricio Olivarez a prominent La Mesa resident. She held many jobs serving her community and working alongside friends, but most known for her love of working and being on her farm. We hope that all will remember her beautiful soul, smile, infectious laugh, and how she touched the lives of others.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Cecilia Barrajas of El Paso, TX; Lupe Paredes and Juliana Paredes both from Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews as well as close friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Olivarez will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday, November 9, 2024, at San Jose Catholic Church, 224 E. Josephine Street in La Mesa with the Prayer Vigil at 10 AM. The Funeral Mass will follow immediately thereafter with The Reverend Alonso Quinonez, Celebrant. At her request cremation will take place and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.

Serving as casket bearers will be her nephews and other family members.
