A vibrant spirit who embraced life with boundless love and unwavering determination, SOLEDAD GARCIA RODRIGUEZ, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of joy, strength, and cherished memories. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on September 15, 1935, Soledad's journey through life was marked by her unyielding independence and her deep devotion to family.

Soledad's greatest source of pride and joy was found in her role as a mother and grandmother. She reveled in nurturing and supporting her three sons, Roger, Johnny, and Fred Flores, and her two daughters, Pat Hernandez, and Miriam Flores. Her nurturing spirit extended to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally and celebrated every step of their journeys.

Soledad's life was a testament to her dedication to her family. Her days were filled with the simple pleasures that brought happiness to those around her - from sharing stories and laughter to spending time with her grandchildren. Her unwavering strength and caring nature ensured that her family felt cherished and supported, even in the face of challenges.

Soledad's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. As her family and friends gather to celebrate her remarkable life, her legacy of love, and courage.

Survivors include her sons, Roger Flores (Sylvia) of Las Cruces, and John Flores (Beatrice) of Orange, CA; daughters, Pat Hernandez of Alamogordo and Mariam Flores, and her daughter-in-law, Emma Flores, both of Las Cruces. Other survivors include 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandsons as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Soledad was preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad Garcia, and Soledad Rodriguez Garcia; her husband, Joe Nuno Flores; son, Fred Flores on July 14, 2023, and all her brothers and sisters.

Services to honor and remember Soledad will be held at 6 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces.
