Shari A. Rose passed away on November 22, 2024, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at the age of 88. Born in Vernal, Utah, Shari lived a life marked by love, resilience, and service. She was a devoted Mom, Nana, Great-Grandma, and a cherished friend to many.

Shari spent over 30 years as an auditor with the IRS, where her honesty and compassion set her apart. She approached her work with a desire to help and educate, forming lasting friendships with those she assisted. In retirement, she continued her service as a CASA volunteer, with VITA, and through her greatest passion, Therapaws, bringing comfort and joy to others through visits with her beloved dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Tazwell "Taz" East and Iola East; her beloved brother, Wade East; and her niece, April East. She also held deep love for Wade's wife, Lynn, and their children, Laurel Nezloff and William East.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Kelli Drake-Venable (Charles), Sandi Parrill, and Rocky S. Smith (Sandy); her grandchildren: Tess Drake, Cooper Drake, Nicholas Parrill, Christopher Parrill, Brenden Parrill, and Taz Warner; and her great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the animal charity of your choice in Shari's memory, a tribute to the kindness and love she extended throughout her life.
