Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, Sandra Ivonne Chavez, 46, left this world and joined her father Rafael Chavez and sister Kristina Chavez, in heaven on April 2, 2024.

Sandra was born on April 20, 1977, in Parral, Chihuahua to Rafael Chavez and Maria Chavez. She graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1995.  She worked for many years as a childcare provider where she was licensed and owned her own business.

She leaves behind her children, Jose Eduardo Balderas, Stephanie Balderas and Joseph Flores Jr., Sister Karina Chavez and husband Ismael Hernandez, Sister Carolina Arias and husband Armando Arias, Brother Jaime Chavez and wife Martha Chavez, Brother Rafael Chavez and wife Dora Chavez, Brother Lorenzo Chavez and wife, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10am on Friday, April 26, 2024, Holy Cross Catholic Church,

1327 N Miranda St. Inurnment will follow Dona Ana Cemetery, Cama De Flores, Las Cruces, NM 88007. A reception will follow inurnment.
