With profound love and gratitude for her long and blessed life, the family of ROSA MANUELA FACIO FLORES, age 97, of Las Cruces, announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at her home. She was born December 23, 1928, in El Paso, Texas, to Lydia Coronel and Luis Facio. Rosa was a devoted homemaker whose life was rooted in faith, family, and service. As a dedicated member of the Baptist community, she lived her beliefs through kindness, humility, and unwavering love for those around her. Her home was a place of welcome, warmth, and nourishment both, of the body and the spirit. She carried a quiet strength, a gentle heart, and a steadfast devotion to her family that will continue to guide them for generations.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Elva Flores Torres (Jose) of Silver City, NM; her son, Jose Facio Flores (Yvette) of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of her legacy, her faith, her resilience, and her boundless love.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jesus G. Flores, who passed on February 12, 2007; her daughter, Rosa Mary F. Gonzalez; her infant son, Jesus F. Flores; her sister, Genoveva Mendez; her brother, Francisco Salazar; her stepfather, Jose Salazar; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Adrian Torres; and her nephew, Ruben Salazar.
Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Funeral Service at 10 AM, officiated by Pastor George Orosco. Concluding Service and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jose Luis and Mauricio Torres, Javier Gonzalez, Joey, Jesse, and Jordan Flores. Honorary bearers will be her 28 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren, a testament to the beautiful and enduring family she nurtured.
Rosa lived nearly a century of love, faith, and devotion. Her presence was a blessing, her memory a comfort, and her legacy a treasure that will continue to shine through the many generations she leaves behind.
