Rosa Maria DeLaGarza, age 94, of Las Cruces, NM passed away September 16, 2025 at her home, after a long illness.

Rosa was born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, to Bibiano and Amalia Palacio, the first of nine children. In 1961, she married Roberto DeLaGarza, Jr., of El Paso, TX. After being certified as an Operating Room Technician in 1966, she spent many years working in the surgical departments of hospitals in Galveston, TX, Silver City, NM, and Las Cruces. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church.

Rosa is survived by her son, Robert, of Las Cruces, along with two brothers, three sisters, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roberto in 1996, her daughter Nora in 1997, one brother, and two sisters.

A prayer vigil will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Health, 1178 North Mesquite Street with a memorial mass to follow. Inurnment will be at Masonic Cemetery, 760 South Compress Road, immediately following the memorial mass.
