It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ronald "Ron" Charles Gomez Sr. at the age of 68 on March 22, 2024. He was born on May 26, 1955 in Ruidoso, NM to Teodora and Albert Gomez.

Ron's love of cars led him through his career as an automotive mechanic until he retired in 2007. Ron was proud to be a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was strong willed, dedicated to his children, and enjoyed life to the fullest. He filled his life with humor, sports, playing the guitar,  blues music, and most of all  enjoyed spending his time surrounded by family.

Ronald is survived by his children Andrea Nadine Gomez and Ronald Charles Gomez Jr., grandchildren Alexa Howard and Xavier Gomez-Cordova, great-granddaughter Annelise Gomez, and his sisters Patricia Balinbin, Genevieve Gomez, and Dolores Gomez.

He was preceded in death by his parents Teodora and Albert, nephew Kevin Gomez, and son Vicente J. Gomez.

A prayer vigil will be held on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 02:00 P.M. and the Funeral Liturgy will begin at 02:30 P.M.
