ROEL JACOB ROSA passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 46. Born June 12, 1980, in Indio, California, Jacob later moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he became a long-time resident.
Jacob was a remarkably talented landscaper who had a deep appreciation for the earth. He worked at the Boulders, where he was deeply loved by everyone, and he truly loved all who knew him there. A true jack-of-all-trades, he also dabbled in electrical and mechanical work, possessing a rare ability to fix just about anything. Jacob loved helping people. He used his many skills generously, always ready to lend a hand to a neighbor or friend in need.
Above all, Jacob deeply loved and cherished his dogs. An avid outdoorsman, he found his greatest joy in nature. He loved hiking and exploring the outdoors, and he had a vast appreciation for all animals. He was also a passionate collector of rocks and gems, and nothing made him happier than sharing his interests, knowledge, and latest discoveries with the people around him. Jacob's family takes great comfort in knowing that he is now peacefully reunited with his mother and his beloved dogs, Max, Bear, and Hennessy.
Jacob is survived by his devoted father, Roel Rosa, and his beloved sisters, Monica, Priscilla (ChaCha), and Adelneri. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephew, Esperanza, Gina, Victoria, Erica, and Jose Jr., who will miss their uncle dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, to honor Jacob's life and memory. A viewing will begin at 9 AM, followed by services at 10 AM at Baca’s Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Jacob will be laid to rest at the Doña Ana Cemetery immediately after services.
