Robert Romero age 69, of Las Cruces passed away on August 7, 2024. He was born August 14, 1954 in Las Cruces to Rosela and Joe Romero.

Robert was employed and retired from The City of Las Cruces as a plumber.

Robert was a loving man and a devoted father with a big heart that was felt by all his family and friends. Robert enjoyed music and grilling. He made impeccable meals. He had a love for the outdoors, and for all sports. He was an unwavering Boston Celtics fan. He was in his element when he was camping, hunting, and fishing. He had a passion for turkey hunting and anything having to do with nature. Robert was a caring and giving man with a heart that went out to all that knew him. His loss will be deeply mourned by many.

Those left to mourn him include his son Justin Romero, brother Harry Romero, four sisters, Gloria Melendrez, JoAnna Lucero, Loraine Torres, and Vivian Sandoval

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph Romero.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Sat August 31, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 09:00 A.M. and the liturgy is scheduled to begin at 10:00 A.M. At Roberts request cremation will follow and inurnment will be at a later date.
