Robert Ortiz entered eternal life on September 16, 2023 at the age of 50. He was born May 13, 1973 in Syracuse, Kansas to Rosa Benavidez and Guadalupe Ortiz.

He was a journeyman plumber, a caring father of four, and a proud grandfather.

Those left to carry on his memory include his son Robert Ortiz Jr., three daughters Ivette Ortiz (James Baker), Monica Ortiz and Andrea Ortiz; and granddaughter Liat de la Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rosa and Guadalupe and his aunt Gloria Benavidez and uncle Francisco Quezada.

A prayer vigil will be held on Friday October 6, 2023 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 01:00 P.M. and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 02:00 P.M. Cremation will follow the services and inurnment will be at a later date.
