It is with deep sadness that we have to say goodbye to our beloved, ROBERTO "BAMBA" DIMAS.  Robeto was called to join his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.  "Bamba," as he was known to family and friends was born to his loving parents, Pablo, and Josephine Dimas on February 24, 1952, in Las Cruces.  Robert was a tile setter by trade and was a hard worker; he could build anything and fix everything. Bamba was a bully growing up during elementary school. His journey is an inspiration to our family and others whose lives he touched.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Tracy, son, Michael, and grandson, Mikey. He had other sons and daughters that were never in his life, but to make up for the sadness, he was everyone's uncle. Robet would help our mother take care of all our nieces and nephews, changing diapers and feeding all of them. But on top of all that he was the best little league baseball coach, and his team were called the "Bad News Bears" Defeating many teams.

Bamba is survived by his wife, Lucia; two brothers, Mario, and Martin; four sisters, Beatrice, Yolanda, Johanna, and Mary Lou; numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Pedro of forty years. He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Ernesto and three nephews, Gilbert Dimas, David Dimas, and John Orrantia.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Prayer Vigil at 10 AM, followed by the Funeral Liturgy. At his request cremation will take place and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.
