Ramona Virrueta age 88 of Las Cruces NM passed away August 12, 2024, in her home surrounded by loved ones, she is survived by three children and many grandchildren.

Ramona was born in Michoacan Mexico, she became a United States Citizen and was very proud to be an American.  She was a Devoted Catholic and attended St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed Mariachi music and family gatherings.   Ramona's home was always welcoming and open to others.

Ramona was always willing to help those in need and loved to adopt friends as family members.  She was an extremely independent, strong woman who worked very hard to support her family, making sure to guide her children in the right direction in becoming good citizens.

Ramona's memory will be cherished and kept alive through her surviving children down to her Great Great Grandchildren

Our Family would like to Thank High Desert Hospice and the two Amazing caregivers (Ana Cervantes and Lorenza Gardea) for the wonderful, exceptional care they provided to our mother/grandmother during her final days.

A visitation for Ramona will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 6pm at Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 East Boutz Road. A prayer vigil will begin at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 3pm at St. Genevieve's Church. Cremation will take place after services at Ramona's request.
