Rita Ramona (Saiz) Ordunez our dearest beloved MOTHER, has entered her eternal home on May 21st.. surrounded by her loving children.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Norberto Ordunez, daughter Joanna Louise, grandson Xavier Anthony Contreras, her brothers Vicente Saiz, Louis Saiz, Sister Lupe Saiz, sister Dora Rivas, sister Lydia Saiz, and her maternal parents Benito y Anne Saiz, and father of her 6 children Joe A. Zamora Jr.
Ramona Rita was born on July 15th 1946, in Clovis New Mexico, she is survived by her five children, daughter Anita Rios and husband Pedro of Las Cruces, son Valentino Zamora and his wife Lisa of Phoenix Arizona, daughter Norma Jean and life partner David Garnand of Las Cruces, daughter Renee Zamora, of Las Cruces, and Johnny Joe (JJ)of Las Cruces. Rita is survived by her 10 grandchildren (Joanna, Monessa, Gracie, Adrianna, Jessica, Jennifer, Valentino Jr, Desiree, Naomi, Jodi; along with their spouses and her loving 17 great grandchildren.
Rita Ramona was retired from Las Cruces Public schools, where she loved the presence and tenderness of children. Our mother lived with great challenges and accomplishments. Mom enjoyed traveling anywhere her family would take her. Mom loved to play bingo, win at the casino, and enjoyed mostly the presence and surrounding of her children and family.
Mom had a caring and generous heart where she always thought of others and those who had less to nothing. Mom had the most beautiful heart and spirit, MOM you will be greatly remembered and missed, held and etched within our hearts forever.
Rita Ramona our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, friend attended Holy Cross, and St. Genevieve's, catholic church on a regular basis.
Mom may you be welcomed with peace in your little piece of heaven, with love and spirit by those who have entered their eternal home before you.
A prayer vigil will be held on Friday June 20, 2025 at St Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:00 A.M. and the Mass will begin at 10:30 A.M. Inurnment and Rite of Committal will conclude at St Joseph's Cemetery.
