Ramon Lopez, 80 years old from Anthony NM, passed away on January 29, 2026, in El Paso TX.

Ramon was born in Canutillo TX to Juan and Isabel Lopez. He lived throughout his childhood in Canutillo and California where he would work the fields with his brother's and sister's. As an adult he became a doctor's assistant and gave out the tools needed in surgeries. Ramon also gave back to the community and was a catechist teacher in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was married to Maria Lopez for 58 years. He was a loving dedicated father and husband. Strict but always patient and kind, he always listened and gave us the best advice, he always looked after and cared for all his family near and far.

Ramon is survived by Maria Lopez (wife), Jose Lopez (son), Michael Lopez(son), Chris Lopez(son), Alicia Gonzales(daughter), Jesus Lopez(brother), 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by Juan and Isabel Lopez (parents) many brother's and sister's, Joshua Fabien Lopez(grandson), Carlos David Lopez (son), Maria I Lopez(daughter)

A visitation will be on Thursday, February 19, 2026, starting at 9:30am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 324 Lincoln Street, Anthony, NM. A prayer vigil will begin at 10:30am with a Funeral Mass to follow. The rite of committal and interment will be at St. Anthony's Community Cemetery
