Ramon U. Jimenez passed away March 18, 2024 surrounded by strength and love. He was 94 years old and is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters, and his loving wife Emma G. Jimenez and daughter Liz Kovash.

Ramon came to this country when he was only 16 years old from Cd. Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico with nothing but an incredible work ethic in search for a better life. He applied for and was granted permanent residency in 1958. In January 1959, Ramon and Emma came to the United States on their wedding day ready to establish their home and family. He proudly worked at Stahmann Farms for many years where his children were born, and his life was farming and raising his loving family. Ramon's proudest moment was buying and owning a small farm in Vado, NM where he planted every single pecan tree on his property. There are countless memories of happy times with family and friends on that farm.

To his children [Liz Kovash (Richard), Sandra Adams (Thomas), Lucy Jimenez (Dave Morones), and Ramon Jimenez (Josie)], Ramon was a role model for hard work and love of family. Ramon has four grandchildren, Sarah and Katie Silva, Megan Kovash, and Ramon Antonio Jimenez, he also has three great-grandchildren Eva Nolan, Emma Burstein and Benito Padilla.

Ramon will be deeply missed by his family and friends, he gave everything for his family and we remain forever grateful.

A Mass will be celebrated at 02:00 P.M. on Friday April 12, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church, 335 Josephine Street in La Mesa. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
