PEDRO ROYBAL, age 78, of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his home with his loved ones at his bedside. Pedro was born November 29, 1945, in Carrizozo, NM., to Gertrude Zamora and Jose Roybal. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. After the Military, Pedro was employed as a Loan Officer at local Banks until his retirement.

In 1979, Pedro married the love of his life, Mercy M. Ferreira Roybal; and together they raised 3 children; son, Israel Anaya; and daughter, Gloria Roybal Carpenter all from Las Cruces; and a sister, Julia Fuentes of Albuquerque. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Orlando Anaya; sister, Carmen Roybal and brother, Pedro Roybal-Viescas.

Visitation for Mr. Roybal will begin at 10 AM Monday, October 28, 2024, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Funeral Service at 11 AM. Concluding Service and Interment will be at 2:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Road. Military Honors will be accorded by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.

Serving as casket bearers will be his family and friends.
