Patricia Garcia Padilla's Obituary
PATRICIA 'PATSY' PADILLA, age 72 of Las Cruces entered eternal life Friday, November 27, 2015 at La Posada – Mesilla Valley Hospice. She was born September 26, 1943 in Santa Rita, NM to Patricio and Lucinda Jimenez Garcia. Patsy attended Western New Mexico University and NMSU, where she obtained a degree in Business and Education. She retired from the Las Cruces Public School System as a school teacher at Lynn Middle School.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Padilla of the family home; son, Jon Padilla (Lori); four daughters, Roni Padilla (David Bjorsness), Lucinda Agosto (Tomas), Tryshia Jordan (Matt) all of Las Cruces, and Jamine Padilla (Ramar Dixon) of Austin, TX, as well as a brother, Leroy Garcia (Rose); three sisters, Frances Griego, Cecilia Garcia all of Albuquerque, and Teresa Weaver of San Antonio, TX. Other survivors include 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Kat, Audi, Mari, Marty, Gabe, Nate, Mayah, Debbie, Alex, Veronica and Selina. Her favorites: Mullz & Pascal. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Joe (Joey) Padilla, Jr. and family members from the Almanzar, Weaver, Griego and Padilla sides.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held in June. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
