MR. PAT G. CARRILLO, age 91 entered eternal life on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at La Posada-Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his loved ones. Lifelong resident of Las Cruces, Pat as he was fondly known to family and friends, was born August 24, 1932, to Josefina Gutierrez and Miguel Carrillo. He served his country in the United States Army, being honorably discharged in 1955.  He received his Bachelor's of Science Education and retired as an Athletic Coach in football and baseball from Gadsden Middle School.  He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Pat dedicated his life to young kids as he was a high school football referee for 52 years.

Survivors include his loving wife, of sixty-three years, Bernilda Ramriez Carrillo; two sons, David Carrillo (Esther) and Darrell Carrillo (Patricia); his one and only granddaughter, Santana Mercedez Carrillo all of Las Cruces; three sisters, Teresa Mixco of Salt Lake City, UT, Mary Lou Vallejos of Cypress, CA., and Juniata Angel of Las Cruces. Mr. Carrillo was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Mike, Jr., Paul, and Antonio Carrillo and two sisters, Eduviges Carrillo and Augustina Chavez.

At his request cremation has taken place and a Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 9:30 AM Friday, November 17, 2023, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street where the Memorial Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter with The Monsignor John Anderson. Inurnment of cremains will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery 5140 W. Picacho Avenue. Military Honors will be accord by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League El-Perro Diablo Detachment.
