Orlando C. Moreno, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of dedication, strength, and love. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with passion and purpose.

Orlando's career as a firefighter was marked by a deep commitment to his community. He completed extensive officers, administrative, and training chief courses, which paved the way for his promotion to firefighter lieutenant in September 1975. His leadership and expertise were invaluable to those he worked with and served.

Beyond his distinguished service as a firefighter, Orlando was a skilled craftsman. As the owner of Dynamic Builders, he worked as a general contractor for many years, building not only structures but also lasting relationships within his community.

In his free time, Orlando found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved solving cryptoquips and crossword puzzles, and he never missed an opportunity to watch a good western. A lover of music, Orlando's voice often filled his home with song. He also enjoyed gambling and watching horse races, always eager to share these moments with his family.

Orlando's presence was impossible to ignore. He laughed loudly, loved fiercely, and carried himself with pride. His strength was a cornerstone for those who knew him, and his pride in his work, his family, and his life was evident to all. As a grandfather and great-grandfather, he was cherished by the generations that followed, leaving a legacy of love and wisdom.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, love, and legacy will continue to echo in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Those left to mourn him include his beloved wife Amelia Moreno, daughter Sylvia Martinez and husband Michael. He also leaves grandchildren Jennifer, Nicole, Joseph, Jacqueline, Jessica and Jasmine and great grandchildren Jesiah, Jeremiah and Jazay. He also leaves brother Bobby Moreno and wife Soledad.

He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Elena Moreno, son Orlando Moreno Jr., his brothers Ricardo, Albino, Manuel Jr., Billy, Tony, Raul and sisters Barbara Morales, Helen Rios and Jenny Soltero.

A funeral service will be held on Friday September 20, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Home, 300 E. Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 09:00 A.M. and the service will begin at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment will be at a later date.
