Norma (Cullom) Roberts, a beloved wife, mother,grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on September 29, 2026,leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, dedication, and countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Born on October 13, 1969 in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, México, Norma moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico at the age of 6. She attended Jornada Elementary, Alameda and Lynn Junior High,Las Cruces High and was a proud member of the first graduating class of Oñate High School. Being part of the school’s inaugural year was a special distinction she carried with pride and remained a memorable part of her connection to the community. Throughout her career, Norma dedicated herself to serving others through her work in mortgage lending, banking, and local government. She brought determination, professionalism, and genuine care for people into every chapter of her working life. Through the years, she built lasting friendships and touched the lives of many people along the way.But of all the roles Norma held throughout her life, being a wife,mother, and grandmother was what she treasured most.In 1989, Norma married her husband, Jerry. Together, they built a life and a family filled with love, laughter, challenges, accomplishments, and countless memories. Their marriage was a lasting partnership that carried them through more than three decades of life’s most meaningful moments.Norma was a proud basketball mom and one of her daughters’ biggest fans. She loved watching Amanda and Jessica play and could often be found cheering them on from the stands. She took great pride in their accomplishments and loved being there for every game, every season, and every moment she could share with them.Her greatest joys continued with her grandsons, Junior and Remi. Norma cherished her role as a grandmother and treasured the time she spent with her boys. Her family was at the center of her world, and the love she had for them was evident in everything she did.And no story about Norma would be complete without mentioning her beloved dog, Cujo. Norma loved Cujo immensely, and he was more than a pet - he was a cherished companion and an important member of her family. The love she had for him was just another reflection of the big heart she carried throughout her life.Norma is survived by her husband, Jerry Roberts; her daughters, Amanda and Jessica Roberts; her grandsons, Junior and Remi Gomez, her mother, Gloria Cullom; and her eight siblings.She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply and a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring them comfort in the years ahead. Her legacy lives on in the family she built, the people she loved, the friendships she made, and the many lives she touched throughout her personal and professional journey.Norma will be remembered for her love of family, her pride in her daughters, her joy in being a grandmother, her dedication to her work, her loyalty to those she loved, and the special place she made in the hearts of somany.Though she is no longer sitting in the stands cheering on her girls,watching her grandsons grow, sharing life with Jerry, or spending time with her beloved Cujo, the love she gave so freely will remain with them always.She was deeply loved, she will be deeply missed, and she will never be forgotten.
