It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of 53 year old Michelle Daun Ortiz on May 23, 2024. She was born October 6, 1970 in Las Cruces to Dolores and Herman Ortiz.

Michelle was a graduate of Onate High School, class of 1988 and a former resident of Albuquerque for 22 years. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, as well as a loving daughter, sister and aunt. Michelle had a big compassionate heart and lots of love that will be terribly missed.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Maria and George M. Ortiz and Maternal grandparents Enedina and Martin Parra. Those left to mourn her include her loving parents Dolores and Herman, brother George (Gloria) Ortiz, uncle Art Ortiz, Aunt Martina Parra, niece and nephew

Pallbearers will be George M Ortiz sr, George M Ortiz jr, Shianne Krystal Ortiz, Dante Maag, Jeff Reyes and Daniel Gonzales

A prayer vigil will be held on Monday June 3, 2024 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street. Visitation will begin at 09:00 A.M. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:00 A.M. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. At Michelle's request cremation will follow and inurnment will be at a later date.
