MICHAEL CASEMENT, age 81 of Las Cruces passed away Tuesday October 10, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center, with his loving family at his bedside. He was born August 14, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Lena Boice and George Casement. Michael retired as a car salesman and in 2015 relocated to Las Cruces from Springfield, Massachusetts.

Survivors include his loving wife, Olivia Johnston of Las Cruces; daughter, Allison Ilchert and her sons, Ethan, and Nolan, of Darien CT; two sons, Sean Casement (Nicole) of Long Branch NJ; and Brandon Casement (Lea) and their daughters Gabrielle and Aubrey, of Mount Pleasant SC; step-sons, Haile Johnston (Tatiana) and Keir Johnston (Linda) and Kenneth Johnston all of Philadelphia PA; and step-daughter, Cathy Johnston; 10 grandchildren as well as numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife, and mother of his children, Loretta Rozzi Casement; sister, Barbara and her husband, Charlie Gunther; and step-son, Woody Johnston Jr.

Michael will be remembered as the consummate story teller, extravagant dreamer and ardent lover of his family, friends and life. At his request cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
