It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Melissa Medrano, who left this world surrounded by love and cherished memories on March 30, 2025. Born to Leonel and Maria Elena Medrano on April 4, 1970. Melissa was a vibrant soul who embraced life with passion and joy.
Melissa's greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. She found immense happiness in their accomplishments and treasured every moment spent with them. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Carlos Rojas; her sister, Yssella Medrano; her grandmothers, Emma Arvizo and Carolina Medrano; and her grandfather, Francisco Medrano.
Melissa is survived by her loving partner, Javier Andrade; her daughters, Vanessa Rojas, Sheha Hernandez, Alia Al-Mazem, Karema Escalera, and Clarissa Martinez; her parents, Leonel and Maria Elena Medrano; her sister, Marcella Medrano; her brother, Leo Medrano; and numerous grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
Melissa's legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched.
A prayer vigil to honor and celebrate Melissa's life will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd starting at 05:00 P.M. at Baca's Funeral Chapels located at 300 E. Boutz Road. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 6 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday April 23rd at 10:00 A.M. at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church located at 100 S. Espina Street, all are welcome. May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones who went before her.
