MARY LOU WALLACE, age 99, of Las Cruces, passed away amongst close family on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Born August 2, 1926, in Charleston, Missouri, she was the child of Walter Russell Beck and Lucille Davis.

Mary moved to New Mexico with her first husband Elmer R. Mason and two sons in Alamogordo in 1958. After his passing, she met the love of her life, John W. Wallace. Mary and John moved to Las Cruces in 1979 and were married for over 50 years. She was known for her caring, warmhearted nature to all her family and friends.  She was a devoted member of University United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son Rodger J. Mason (Micaela); grandchildren, David Mason, Clay Mason (Stacie), Shalisa Roaden (Terry), Dorian Mason, Rachelle Mason (Robert) and Michelle Mason. Other survivors include many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Nannette Pollock and son, David R. Mason.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00am at University United Methodist Church located at 2000 S. Locust, Las Cruces, NM 88011.
