Martin Ramon Sanchez Corrales of Salem, NM was called by our beloved God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, passed away on July 4, 2026, at 68 at his home in Salem NM, leaving a legacy of faith, joy and love.

Martin was born in Cuahtemoc, Chihuahua Mexico in November 11, 1957. Martin loved to help people in need. He loved Horse riding, playing cards with his friends. He loved fixing bikes to give to the kids in need, and the most important, spending time with his loved ones. Martin was a joyful man. He never showed his sadness to the world as he was a strong person. He fought for what was right and never gave up in faith. Martin will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the love he gave each of his loved ones. He will be missed and his legacy will continue to be remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his 6 children Carlos I. Navarro, Miguel Nava, Cecilia R. Sanchez, Luis A. Sanchez, Martin E. Sanchez, Angel J. Sanchez, his 4 grandchildren Angel Nava Huerta, Alessandra Serrano, Carmelo E. Serrano, Gabriel Serrano, His two sisters Lucia Garcia, Maricela Sanchez and his two brothers Leonardo Sanchez and Enrique Sanchez.

He was preceded by death by his brothers Rosendo Ontiveros González and Jesus Sanchez Corrales, and his parents Ramon Sanchez and Ramona Corrales.

A visitation will be held at 6pm, July 21, 2026 at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church, 117 Hartman Street, Hatch, NM. A prayer vigil will follow at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held the next day at 10am. Cremation will follow services.
