MARTHA TAPIA VASQUEZ, age 69, entered eternal life on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Three Crosses Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 18, 1955, in Mesilla, NM., to Aurora Jimenez and Juan E. Tapia. Martha was employed as a Financial Counselor at Memorial Medical Center and was a devout member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Conrado S. Vasquez; 3 sons, Ernesto Benavidez, Armando T. Benavidez (Norma), and Conrado Vasquez, III (Jennifer); 3 daughters, Victoria Martinez (Peter), and Yvette Vasquez-Garcia (Frank) all from Las Cruces and Jessica Abernathy (Mike) of Austin, TX., 3 brothers, Johnny Tapia (Mary Helen), Eduardo Tapia (Emma), and Jessie Tapia (Cristal); 5 sisters, Delia Archuleta (Paul), Grace Saiz (Joe), Carol Tapia and Patsy Tapia (Ernest) all also from Las Cruces and Maggie Tapia of T or C, NM. Other survivors include 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lorraine Tapia.

At her request cremation has taken place and The Prayer Vigil will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday, November 30, 2024, at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina Street with the Memorial Mass to be celebrated immediately thereafter. Inurnment of cremains will follow at the IHM Columbarium.
