MARTHA “SUSY” QUEZADA, age 68, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

She was born May 24, 1958, in Juarez, Chihuahua, to the late Luis H. Quezada Rodriguez and Valentina Guerrero Galindo de Quezada. Raised in a vibrant, bustling home, Martha was one of 15 siblings. Her door was always open, and there was never a need to call before dropping by. To almost everyone who knew her, she was affectionately called "Susy." Though it was not her legal name, she proudly carried it throughout her entire life.

Susy spent most of her adult life living in California before moving to New Mexico to make it her permanent home, settling close to the large, extended family she loved to no end. She was a woman full of joy who loved music, dancing, and finding humor in just about anything and everything. Her home was constantly filled with laughter, often sparked by the countless stories she shared about her brothers and sisters, lovingly making fun of everyone. Susy had an endless amount of love to give; she spent years babysitting her nieces and nephews, caring for and loving them exactly like her own.

She was a deeply devoted and loving sister, mother, and aunt who always greeted the world with a smile. Her presence brought warmth to everyone around her, and she will be missed greatly by all her family and friends. Susy was preceded in death by her parents, her baby daughter Susy, and her two brothers, Luis and Victor.

Her legacy lives on through her surviving children, Diana Ramos (Michael y Taylor Lande), Monica (Jimmy y Breanna Simpson), Cesar, and Carlos Morales; her 13 surviving siblings, Concepcion and Rodolfo, Antonia, Velia and Felipe, Jorge and Mirna, Eduardo, Sandra and Jose, Humberto and Rosa, Veronica and Mario, Maricela, Carlos, Ricardo and Lupe, Claudia and Elam, Adriana; and her 9 beloved grandchildren, Justin, Johnathan, Stephany, Brian, Yvette, Cesar, Aby, Thalia, Jocelyn.

Visitation for Susy will be from 2 PM to 4 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Baca’s Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces, NM.

The Funeral Service will begin at 10 AM Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2915 E. Idaho Avenue, Las Cruces. NM. Concluding Service and Interment will follow at the San Miguel Cemetery in San Miguel, NM.

Serving as casket bearers: Adan Martinez, Johnathan Alegria, Carlos Morales, Brian Cruz, Cesar Morales, and Israel Quezada.
