Our hearts ache at the tragic loss of two wonderful caring and loving human beings, our mother MARIA C. ESCUDERO LOYA, and little sister, MAYRIN PEREZ. Both passed away on Saturday August 9, 2025, as the result of a traffic accident in Tornillo, TX. Both resided in Las Cruces.
Although our mom and sister passed on to be with the Lord, they leave us with memories of their smiles, their laughter, and the love they shared. Many of you will remember how caring both were towards family and friends.
Maria was born March 12, 1973, to Israel Escudero and Emerencia Loya in Cd. Juarez, Mexico. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and a friend to many. Always serving others, demonstrating and sharing to all who crossed her path the love God deposited in her heart.
Mayrin "Mayo" "Mayito" or "Cachumba" as her siblings lovingly called her, was born October 5, 2003, in El Paso to Maria and Norberto Manuel Perez. She was a graduate of Centennial High School and was employed as a Chiropractor's assistant. She also was the happiest and most caring person you could meet, always willing and ready to help others and in the middle of all the bad her faith would prevail and make you believe in the good. She truly lit up the whole room.
Those left to mourn the passing of their mother Maria and sister Mayrin are Priscila E. Rios and husband Lalo, Normary Perez (Mayrins best friend and sister) and husband Manuel Chacon, Michelle Escudero, Jesus Olivas, and Manuel Perez and adored grandson and nephew Vicente. Both are survived by Maria's parents and Mayrin's maternal grandparents, Israel Escudero and Emerencia Loya as well as Mayrin' s father Norberto Manuel Perez, and of course other family and many friends.
As a new chapter begins for our family, "Forever and Eternity" now have a new and different meaning. Both Maria and Mayrin were always together and even at the moment they passed. We will always miss you; we will always love you and forever have you in our thoughts and in our hearts, we will always remember the good moments and all the laughs you brought into our lives, thank you Mom and Sister, thank you for the strength your strong Christian Faith gives us. (Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted - Matthew 5:4)
