Maria de Jesus Galindo, lovingly known to all as Susan, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on January 24, 2026.
Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who lived a life defined by resilience, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family.
As a wife, she was a devoted, true partner in life. As a mother, she was selfless and unwavering, always putting her children first. As a grandmother, she was a source of boundless love, devoted to nurturing her grandchildren with care and affection.
Susan was an accomplished seamstress and exceptional cook. She shared her gifts through carefully stitched creations and lovingly prepared meals, transforming daily acts of care into lasting memories. Susan touched many lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Galindo; her son, Javier Gutierrez; her daughter, Debbie Brown; and her cherished grandchildren, Rebecca, Samantha, Jacob, Isabelle, and Ethan.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 16, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 East Boutz Rd., Las Cruces, NM. A prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 17, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 South Espina St., Las Cruces, NM. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 West Picacho Ave., Las Cruces, NM, where she will be laid to rest.
Susan's love and devotion will continue to live on through her family.

Azucena fue una esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y tía entregada que vivió una vida definida por resiliencia, fortaleza silenciosa y profunda devoción a su familia.
Como esposa, fue una compañera devota y verdadera en la vida. Como madre, fue desinteresada e inquebrantable, siempre poniendo a sus hijos por delante. Como abuela, fue una fuente de amor sin límites, dedicada a cuidar a sus nietos con cuidado y afecto.
Azucena era una costurera consumada y una cocinera excepcional. Compartió sus dones a través de creaciones cuidadosamente cosidas y comidas preparadas con cariño, transformando actos diarios de cuidado en recuerdos duraderos. Azucena tocó muchas vidas, y su memoria vivirá en el corazón de todos que la conocía y la quería.
