MARIA DE JESUS FAVELA, lovingly known as "Chuyita" to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by her devoted family. She was 56. Born February 26, 1969, in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua, Mexico, Chuyita was the cherished daughter of Celia Chairez and Vidal Fabela. Her life was marked by deep faith, enduring love for her family, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

Chuyita is survived by her beloved siblings: Elsa Maria Beltran, Maria Olivia Amaro (Jose Ignacio), and Maria Isabel Gutierrez (Rigo), all of Mesquite; Aida Ramirez (Jesus) of McAllen, Texas; and her only brother, Jose Luis Fabela (Viola) of Brazito. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Rosa Fabela and Hermelinda Anaya.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, followed by an Evening Service at 7:00 PM. A Morning Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the same chapel with Pastor Luis Lara Officiating. Interment will follow at Missionary Ridge Cemetery in Mesquite.

Serving as casket bearers will be Aaron Valenzuela Jr., Anthony Avilla Jr., Vidal Ramirez, Jesus Ramirez Jr., Edgar Amaro, and Manuel Burciaga Jr.

Chuyita's gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and quiet grace will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
