In Loving Memory of Maria De Jesus Arroyos Flores

July 19, 1935 – October 14, 2026

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Maria De Jesus Arroyos Flores, age 91, of Deming, New Mexico. On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Maria completed her earthly journey and entered eternal life in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.

Maria was born on July 19, 1935, in Ascensión, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Juan Arroyos and Maria Becerra.

Throughout her 91 beautiful years, Maria lived a life filled with love, faith, kindness, and devotion to those around her. She touched the hearts of many through her gentle spirit, caring nature, and the love she so generously shared with her family and community.

Maria was fondly known as a Foster Grandparent at Rainbow Head Start in Deming, where she dedicated her time to caring for and nurturing young children. Through her kindness, patience, and grandmotherly love, she made a lasting difference in the lives of the children she encountered. Her role as a Foster Grandparent was a beautiful reflection of her compassionate heart and her desire to bring joy and comfort to others.

She was also a member of the Deming Senior Center and a devoted communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and a source of strength and comfort throughout her years.

Above all, Maria’s greatest blessing was her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The memories shared, the lessons learned, and the love she gave will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters, Rosa Baeza (Eddie Baeza) and Norma Vasquez (Mike Green), all of Deming, New Mexico.

She also leaves behind her thirteen beloved grandchildren: Britany Guillen, Bianca Baeza-Holguin, Amanda Grogen, Jimmy Vasquez, Ryan Vasquez, Jason Martinez, Corina Aguayo, Amy Flores, Roy Flores, Fabian Flores, Jonathan Flores, Alex Venzor, and Kayla Sanchez; ten precious great-grandchildren; and her beloved niece, Martha Flores.

Maria was preceded in death by her loving parents, Juan Arroyos and Maria Becerra; her beloved husband, Gene Flores; her brothers and sisters; her son, Ricardo; and her cherished grandson, Ricardo “Dee.”

Although our hearts are saddened by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones who went before her.

Maria will be remembered for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the generations of family who will forever carry her in their hearts.

A beautiful life remembered, a loving and dancing heart never forgotten, and a legacy of love and dancing that will live on forever.
