Maria Ester "Mary Esther" Cuaron, 94 of Las Cruces, NM  passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024 at her home.

Mary Esther was born in Fairacres, NM to Jesus A Gutierrez and Tomasa Chavez Gutierrez. She was a homemaker and a seamstress for many years.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral.  She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3242. She loved to cook and always made sure there was enough food for everyone.  She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Mary Esther was survived by her three sons Isaac M Cuaron Jr (Vangie) of Brazito NM, Richard H Cuaron (Martha) of Las Cruces, NM, and Rodney E Cuaron of Chandler, AZ.   Two daughters, Mary Ann Flores (Carlos) of Las Cruces, NM and Melissa D Cuaron of Laveen AZ.  11 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her loving husband Isaac M Cuaron Sr; son Reuben Cuaron; parents Jesus A Gutierrez and Tomasa Chavez Gutierrez; brothers Eloy Gutierrez and Eduardo Gutierrez; sisters Erminda Reyes, Emilia Misquez, Eliza Alvarez, and Emma Frausto.

The family of Mary Esther Cuaron would like to give a special thanks to the hospice staff at Ambercare and the staff of Home Kare Inc. of Dona Ana.

Visitation for Mary  will begin at 10 AM Friday  March 15, 2024,   with the Prayer Vigil at 10:30 AM, followed by the Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1240 S Espina St. . The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest.
