MARIA SOCORRO BUENO URENDA, age 68, of Fairacres passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 12, 1956, in San Francisco, Durango, Mexico to Evangelina Yanez and Joaquin Bueno. Maria was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and touched the lives of so many with her warm personality and stories of her faithful services to Jehovah and helping others.

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Alfonso Urenda; son, Eric Urenda (Tanya) of Las Cruces; 2 daughters, Paola Huerta of Midland, TX., and Karen Urenda (Justin) of Denver, CO., 2 brothers, Joaquin Bueno (Eulogia) of Las Cruces and Job Bueno (Amanda) of Parral, Chihuahua Mexico; 3 sisters, Dionisia Bueno (Humberto) of San Francisco, Durango, Mexico, Margarita Bueno (Bernardino) and Cecilia Bueno all from Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. Other survivors include 7 granddaughters, Jackie, Alina, Jamie, Daisy, Alyssa, Alize, & Leilani; and 2 grandsons, Eric "Bubba" and Gilbert Joel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joel Huerta; 2 brothers, Lino, and Perfecto Bueno.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM Monday, February 3, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Home, 300 E. Boutz Road with The Funeral Discourse at 10 AM with Elder Adan Bueno, Presiding.  The Burial to follow at the Doña Ana Cemetery, 601 Doña Ana School Road where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Eric Urenda Sr., Eric "Bubba" Urenda Jr., Adan Bueno, David Bueno, Gilbert Joel, and Gerardo Chavez. Honorary bearers are Alfonso Urenda and Joaquin Fernando Bueno.
