MANUELA FRANCISCA LOPEZ CHAVEZ, age 90, of Chamberino, entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside.

Born on May 12, 1935, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Francisca Martinez and Macario Lopez, Manuela lived a life of devotion, care, and faith. A loving and dedicated homemaker, she was a proud member of the Catholic Church and a guiding presence for her family and community.

She is survived by her daughter, Irma Margarita Chavez-Valenzuela (Roberto) of Anthony; and seven sons, Jose Chavez (Marcela) of Anthony, Mario Alberto Chavez of Chamberino, Fernando Chavez (Amy) of Tucson, AZ, Henry Chavez of El Paso, TX, Sergio Chavez (Wil) of Las Cruces, Saul Chavez (Amiee) of Chamberino, and Guillermo Chavez of Tucson, AZ. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Manuela was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jose Chavez (November 1, 2020), all her siblings, and other family members.

Visitation for Mrs. Chavez will begin at 6 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church, 204 S. San Luis Ave in Chamberino, followed by the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the same church.

The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place at 3 PM Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Chamberino Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be her seven sons.

Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
