The Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Starts at 10:00 am
With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of our brother MANUEL R. SAMBRANO JR., who entered eternal rest peacefully in his sleep, on Sunday, July 9, 2026, at the age of 75. Manny leaves behind two sisters, Frances D. Apodaca and Patricia J. Zambardi.
For most of Manny's working career, he worked in the family business, which was lath and plaster. Our dad would have Manny do all the intricate work, because he was really artful at plastering form. He would do all the entryways which included arched doorways, window frames, fireplaces, and any kind of complex form that needed an artistic appearance; his work was aesthetically pleasing. Eventually, Manny ran the business.
He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel J. and Inez R. Sambrano, and two younger brother's, Roman "Budder" and Steven Sambrano.
Family and friends will gather Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10 AM for a Celebration of Life at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina Street in Las Cruces, NM.
A luncheon will follow at Mesilla Community Center, 2251 Calle De Santiago, Mesilla, NM.
