MANUEL "MANNY" HERNANDEZ DOMINGUEZ age 82, of Mesquite, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Manny was known for his steady hands, generous heart, and unwavering faith.
Born July 30, 1943, in Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico, Manny was the son of Manuela Hernandez and Francisco Dominguez. He built a life rooted in hard work and service, spending his career as a skilled auto mechanic. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his devotion to the Roman Catholic Church, where he found strength and community throughout his life.
Manny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emilia Hernandez Dominguez; his parents; his son, Blas Dominguez; and three sisters. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his children: Eddie Hernandez (Norma) of Las Cruces; Manuel Dominguez (Maria Rosario) of Vinton, TX; Francisco I. Dominguez (Anita) of Mesquite; Jesse Dominguez (Celia) of El Paso, TX; Jose Dominguez (Veronica) of Berino; Loren Schoonover (Edward) of El Paso, TX; and Adela Dominguez (Richard Ortega) of Berino. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Luisa Chavez of El Paso, TX; daughter-in-law, Raquel Dominguez of El Paso, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Mission in Berino, followed by a Prayer Vigil at 3:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:30 PM. In accordance with Manny's wishes, cremation will follow, and inurnment of his cremains will take place at a later date.
Manny's life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring love, and the importance of family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
