Obituary

t is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, MAGDALENO VASQUEZ. He entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Magdaleno was born in 1935.

He served four years in the United States Air Force and returned home to a earn a degree from Western New Mexico University. After completing college, Magdaleno went on to work with the New Mexico Department of Transportation, Yuma Proving Grounds, Fort Huachuca, and retired from Federal Service.

In 2010 he was diagnosed and treated for cancer at MD Anderson Houston, Texas. He overcame the cancer and was blessed to spend another 15 years with his loving family. Magdaleno was a parish member of St. Genevieve Catholic Church.

He enjoyed a good cup of coffee in the morning, reading, listening to live music, going to concerts, watching movies at the Fountain Theatre, sports, and spending time with his family. One of his favorite holidays was Thanksgiving – because he enjoyed preparing the meal for his loved ones. Magdaleno cherished his grandchildren and will always be remembered for his unyielding support to care and provide for his family.

Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren and extended family. His legacy continues through his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, T&L Vasquez; his aunt MD and his two cousins, CG and BE.
