Lola Contreras of Las Cruces, NM passed away August 25th, 2024 at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice.

Lola was born in Mexico to Lorenza Luna. Lola was known to many as Grandma Lola because of her love and care of all who entered her home. No matter who it was, family or friends she cared and loved everyone the same.

Lola is survived by son Eddie Smith; great grandson Jesse Hernandez; middle sister; younger sister Gloria Herrera (Paul); younger brother Manuel Gallegos (Lidia); grandchildren Gabriel Smith (Adrienne); Albert Hernandez (Stephanie); Jessica Hernandez; Marina Smith; Freddy Smith Jr; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son Freddy Lee Smith; husband Jose Contreras; grandmother Susana Carnero.
