Laura Jo Hinojosa from Las Cruces and San Miguel NM passed away on September 18th, 2025, in Las Cruces NM.

Laura was born on May 18th, 1954, in Mesquite NM to Abel H and Josephine Y Hinojosa.  Laura is survived by her siblings, Rumaldo Hinojosa and his wife Luz Elena; Oscar Hinojosa and his wife Lucy; Lucy Parra and her husband Ray; Abel Hinojosa; Pauline Apodaca and her husband David.  Laura is also survived by her great nephew Elijah Hanfoosh, who she raised from infancy. Laura is also survived by several nephews and nieces.  Laura was preceded in death by her parents Abel and Josephine Hinojosa brothers John and Sammy Joe, sister Rosemarie and husband Jaffar Al Hanfoosh and niece Ameera Hanfoosh.

Laura, was also known as a person with a big heart with love for her family and especially for the downtrodden especially widows and orphans, as well as a strong work ethic.

But what Laura was really known for was her fierce love for her God Jehovah and his worship. Once she became convinced through a personal study of the Bible That the Bible told the truth about God. She made a personal dedication to serve him for the rest of her life. She symbolized her dedication by water baptism on June 28th 1980 period since that time she never stopped talking to others about her God and his purposes. She witnessed everyone she met and would listen to her.

A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, at Missionary Ridge Cemetery at 2 PM 1700 Missionary Ridge Rd. Mesquite NM off Stern Dr.
