Kathleen Goolsby, 75, of Alamogordo, N.M., passed away March 3rd, 2025 due to cancer, congestive heart failure and pneumonia.
Kathleen was born in Topeka, KS to Roy E. and Susan E. Sassaman (Stone).
Kathleen grew up wanting to be a teacher. She had a B.A. In English and took graduate courses in Special Education. She spent most of her years self employed as a writer for business magazines and corporations, editor, and ghostwriter of business books. She authored two books; Gift-Wrapped Lessons of Life, and The Cancer Season.
Kathleen enjoyed helping others to learn in any way she could. Her favorite pastime was reading. She loved Southern Gospel music and teaching the Bible. For the last few years she had moved to the desert of New Mexico where she also enjoyed the peaceful weather, birds, and mountains.
Kathleen is survived by her sister Carol Gordon (Dan).
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Susan Sassaman; and her sister, Ann Kessinger (Ron).
