Julia Marie Pieper passed away September 9, 2024, at La Posada/Mesilla Valley Hospice, in the presence of friends. She was born to Mildred and Luther Zech in Howard Lake, Minnesota March 16, 1945.

Julia lived in New Mexico for over 50 years and had a long career working for the Federal government. Julia enjoyed many pastimes, especially with her dogs. She worked with them in conformation, agility, obedience, tracking and freestyle dancing. She studied dance herself and enjoyed that in her later years.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pieper, her parents, and her brother, Andrew Zech. She is survived by her dog Sparkle, her sister Audrey, her brother John (Robin) and her friends.
