JUANA GALLEGOS SANDOVAL, age 72, of Las Cruces, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mesilla on November 19, 1952, to Paubla Alvarez and Elijio Gallegos, Juana lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength.

A devoted homemaker, Juana, found her greatest joy in nurturing her family. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent in their presence. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, a reflection of the heart that guided it.

Juana is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Sandoval;  two sons, Steven Sandoval (Polly Moreno) of Tucson, AZ and Moises Sandoval of Las Cruces; three beloved daughters, Sandra Diaz (Robert) and Melissa Lundsford (Teddy) all from Las Cruces, and Hilda Sandoval of AZ; She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her spirit of kindness, resilience, and devotion; three brothers, Joe Gallegos (Vivian) of Mesilla, Robert Gallegos of Venus, TX., and Victor Gallegos of Kerrville, TX., five sisters, Ernestina Rodriguez (Tom), Lydia Ruybalid, Patsy Reyes and Paula Buck (Steven) all from Las Cruces and Rosa M. Fitzpatrick (Bob) of Granbury, TX., as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Antonia Hernandez; brother, Freddy Gallegos and other family members.

She will be remembered for her gentle wisdom, her unwavering support, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM Monday, November 10, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Funeral Service at 11 AM with Pastor Marcus McKay, Officiating. Per her wishes cremation will take place and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at San Albino Cemetery.
